Well done to everyone you has attended some of the Summer training. The season starts in earnest on Sunday with a full squad training session. Please advise if you are unable to attend. Training will be on Tuesdays 1800-1930 at Underhill. This is for rugby skills development and it is important that every player does the following to ensure their personal development and to achieve their maximum potential:
1. At least 2 other fitness / high intensity sport sessions per week minimum 30 mins.
2. Watches 1 senior game (either live - how about Mumbles 1st XV on a Sat when home?) or on TV to better understand the rules, skills and study experts in their positions -follow the players playing your position for tips!
3. We intend to monitor match statistics this season where possible-number of tackles made/missed, ball carries etc.which will highlighted in feedback.
4. There will be an opportunity to discuss positions with the coaches throughout the early part of the season if there are any concerns or requests to try something new.
I am sure every player will join me in giving a huge welcome to Andrew Gully and Mike Jones who have joined the coaching staff this year and look forward to an excellent season.

Website message from Matthew Rees
I am asking for some help in trying to launch the website (www.mumblesrfc.com). I am aware some of you live away from Swansea and therefore your only contact with the club is through Martin’s newsletter and also word of mouth. I am asking for some volunteers to help with keeping the website updated so the information on there is current and useful. This could be done from any aspect which you are interested in;
· Photos of matches
· Any age group you have an interest in
· Match reports
· Any other information you think may be useful to spread the word of Mumbles RFC!
If there is interest I am hoping to run a session on how to use the website as a contributor in the future. Obviously if there is no interest then this will not happen!
The website will only be as good as the content on it, I will not be able to keep it updated on my own, especially if I do not get any details of matches, fixtures, results etc.
If you or you know of anyone who may be interested, player, supporter (school pupils, uni students etc who could use this as a way to increase their CV if they’re thinking of furthering studies in sports journalism, web design, sports photography or any other aspect that could be relevant) please get in touch.
Best Wishes
