GAME V South Gower (Home)

The game this Sunday will be at Bishopston. Get there for ten O'clock .

I have the water bottles and would like someone to help fill the bottle and carry it to the troops, as I will be busy refereeing.

Weather is forecast to be good, make the most of it as there are bound to be more challenging days as the winter approaches.

Training 17.30 Underhill Swings

Clifton Tour was very much enjoyed and we really held our own. Check out photos on www.dephoto.co.uk. Training with John & Ceri focusing on ruck by Underhill swings 17.30 today.

Team Meeting - Thurs 8 Oct

The coaches are getting together on Thursday at 21:00 at the Rugby Club to make plans for the season ahead - any parents who want to come and contribute are welcome.

Thanks to everyone who came to Clifton - the boys had a great day, finishing off with a fantastic win against St Marys, showing what can be achieved with a bit more confidence and drive (and Thomas T letting rip!).  If anyone has any photos, please email them to me: ceriedwards1@gmail.com - or post them to the blog if you've got access.

See you Tuesday for training.

Well Done

Well done to everyone who gave so much effort in today's first matches. A very physical game with Gowerton and Penclawdd with excellent mauling and driving from the Pirates. Great team effort to score 2 tries and congratulations to Jon and Jake for touching down. Real guts shown by many with special mention to Elias and Liam in the maul and tackle and some solid defence by Will, Tal and Connor. Also some hard graft by Josh and Luke upfront. In training we will work now on off-loading in the tackle and picking up the ball around the contact area.

Rugby Festival 23rd May

We have been invited to put in a team for a rugby Tag festival next Saturday 23rd May hosted by the CELTIC CRUSADERS, Wales top professional rugby league team. It includes entry and takes place on the pitch (Brewery Field, Bridgend) before their match against the CATALAN DRAGONS which is also live on Sky 1 kick off 1800. We are guaranteed 3 games, 7 a side and likely need a squad minimum of 9. Festival starts at 1430. I will need confirmation by phone, email or in person before we can accept this opportunity - of course it is half term so some will be away.
