Please bring a red/bright top as well as the match shirt so as we can easily form 2 teams. We plan a match to integrate our possession drills and give everyone a taster of the forwards and backs role.
MRFC Charity Appeal for Haiti
Message from Rhys Davies of MRFC:
Hi All,
Mumbles RFC would like to try and help raise some money for the Haiti Appeal.
Mathew Reeves and Myself are trying to arrange a charity walk to raise money.
We need your help!!!!
What we are looking to do is arrange for as many people to walk from Mumbles RFC along to Blackpill and Back. We are looking to encourage as many members of the club along with their friends and family to take part in this walk.
We are looking to do the walk on Sunday 21st Feb at 2pm. This will give the junior teams to get back after their rugby games to join in the walk.
We would be looking for a Donation to take part ( £5 per person / family ). Any other idea's how we can raise money are welcome.
I know it is becoming a little short notice but we would like you ( Robin and Junior Managers ) to encourage as many of your player and their families to take part. Mathew and I will get the senior players there.
There will be food and refreshments available in the club so hopefully after a quick walk we can enjoy each other company back in the club after.
Please pass this e-mail on to anyone you think would like to take part - the more the merrier.
Any questions you can contact me on 07825335180 or speak to Mark in the club.
Thanks and looking forward to your support

Uplands Home Bishopston 10:00 Sun 7th

10 O'clock for 10.30 kick off. Looking for a passing game and some quick ruck ball. Be in no doubt Mumbles/Uplands U9 is the most important match of the weekend!
I would like to see everyone make one tackle!
I would like to see the strogest runners looking for support and the pass, not getting isolated on their own or running into touch!
Can people start thinking about the Luctonians Tour also. Those coming up the night before should book the Premier Inn Hereford early for Sat 17th April. Alternatively it is doable as day trip. Evening entertainment to be discussed!

Mumbles 5 South Gower 4

A great victory against a good opposition today. Good tackling, mauling and even kicking! The Ruck & setting ball back is still a major objective and our ripping was rusty after the break. I plan to order Kooga Vortex training tops this week.
Medium Boys (28/30")- this fitted Jake but I going to supersize and go for large boys to get a couple of seasons in
Large Boys (30/32").
XS Mens (30/32"), Small Mens (32/34"), Medium Mens (34/36")
Let me know your size by email or on Tues (no size, no kit!)

Sunday Training at Underhill
Waunarlydd do not have an U9,s team so we will have a squad game starting at 10:30. The weather is looking to be frosty, so the later start will allow the Sun to thaw the ground at the top pitch...
There are hot dogs at the rugby club afterwards. If you are going down can you let me know so I can make sure they have the right numbers to cater towards.
As it seems to be chilly can you make sure the players are in layers, Tracksuit bottoms under the rugby shorts are a good idea, don,t forget layers and a warm coat to wrap up afterwards.

Happy 2010

I hope Santa was suitably generous. There will be a match at Underhill this Sunday am, details to follow. Midweek training starts this coming Tues 5th 1800-1900 Oystermouth Gym. If anyone has a local business or contacts we are looking for some sponsorship towards training tops. After the success of the Bristol Tour can we gage interest for a team at Luctonians (Hereford in April).

Christmas Game at Underhill
Meet at 10:00 at Underhill on Sunday - and be kitted out to join in and get muddy!
The 6s and 7s are going back to the rugby club afterwards, so it will be open for drinks and hotdogs. We'll need to pick up some rolls for the team if we want to go, so text me if you're up for it.
11s are going to the Con club where they have organised some hot food via one of their parents - Alex mentioned this, I think you can pay when you get there.
If you can't come on Sunday - thanks for your support and patience during a very wet autumn. Have a Merry Christmas and see you back in the New Year!
