Weather permitting there is an away match v Pontarddulais this Sunday.Please meet at Pontarddulais Comprehensive School for 10.30am for a 11.00 KO. Address: Caecerrig Road Pontarddulais SA4 8PD.
We will be collecting confirmation info from everyone for Luctonians.
Also we have been offered a tournament on May 9th at Fall Bay against local and touring sides and we will collect numbers available before confirming.

Well done for a good couple of training sessions. The support is improving and the ruck BRIDGE beginning to reap reward. Sunday 19th Penclawdd Home @ Underhill 10:00am

Penclawdd are back for a re-match. We have always had quality close games and are seeking our first victory. More importantly we shall focus on tackles and passing with support running.

Sunday 14th Matchplay at Bishopston 09.30-11.00

Please bring a red/bright top as well as the match shirt so as we can easily form 2 teams. We plan a match to integrate our possession drills and give everyone a taster of the forwards and backs role.

MRFC Charity Appeal for Haiti

Message from Rhys Davies of MRFC:

Hi All,

Mumbles RFC would like to try and help raise some money for the Haiti Appeal.

Mathew Reeves and Myself are trying to arrange a charity walk to raise money.

We need your help!!!!

What we are looking to do is arrange for as many people to walk from Mumbles RFC along to Blackpill and Back. We are looking to encourage as many members of the club along with their friends and family to take part in this walk.

We are looking to do the walk on Sunday 21st Feb at 2pm. This will give the junior teams to get back after their rugby games to join in the walk.

We would be looking for a Donation to take part ( £5 per person / family ). Any other idea's how we can raise money are welcome.

I know it is becoming a little short notice but we would like you ( Robin and Junior Managers ) to encourage as many of your player and their families to take part. Mathew and I will get the senior players there.

There will be food and refreshments available in the club so hopefully after a quick walk we can enjoy each other company back in the club after.

Uplands Home Bishopston 10:00 Sun 7th

10 O'clock for 10.30 kick off. Looking for a passing game and some quick ruck ball. Be in no doubt Mumbles/Uplands U9 is the most important match of the weekend!
I would like to see everyone make one tackle!
I would like to see the strogest runners looking for support and the pass, not getting isolated on their own or running into touch!
Can people start thinking about the Luctonians Tour also. Those coming up the night before should book the Premier Inn Hereford early for Sat 17th April. Alternatively it is doable as day trip. Evening entertainment to be discussed!

A great victory against a good opposition today. Good tackling, mauling and even kicking! The Ruck & setting ball back is still a major objective and our ripping was rusty after the break. I plan to order Kooga Vortex training tops this week.

We are very keen to have a match this Sunday as the weather looks playable. Penlan have no U9 but South Gower are fixed for Waunarlwydd who also have no U9. Hope to confirm match with South Gower details soon. Morriston & Uplands 3-way also an option or Dunvant/Penclawdd!

URGENT TUES TRAINING CANCELLED

Due to the Snow and inclement weather training has been cancelled.

Due to play Penlan this week who are not running an under 9's this year. I will keep you informed of any developments regarding Sunday.

Morriston Away cancelled Sunday 10th Jan

Well done to the 8 who made mid-week training and 4 who braved last Sunday. No surprizes that this week's away match is off. We will plan to train at the beach next Sunday if pitches are still out and Tues 1800 goes ahead in all weathers.
