Pontardawe

The Pirates match on Sunday involved a pre-match treasure hunt to a mystery destination over the county border in Neath Port Talbot.  The magical mystery tour lead eventually to a windswept field in Pontardawe.  Once there, and once our hosts had managed to cobble together a team liberally seasoned with Pirates, we witnessed another entertaining game of rugby.

Some strong running led to first half tries for Joe, Jon and Jake C. A change-over of further Pirates players at the break led to a fight back from Pontardawe including a fine try from Morgan for Pontardawe and a further try for Jake C. The match finished with the Pirates edging the scoreline 4-3.

Well done for all the players that volunteered to play for Pontardawe and help make a game of it. This week's Player of the Week was Morgan for a fine performance against the Pirates.

Last week's Player was Matthew for his try from the wing and overall play in the training match forwards-backs switch around.  Below are some shots of last weeks practice match.
